From a brief to a useful design
Start from your experience, whether you are learning the basics or improving an established workflow. Agree the tools, project and depth of the programme before booking. Current sessions follow the 60-minute Hexa Academy format; prices are by enquiry.
Build a visual hierarchy, choose a readable type system and use colour with a clear purpose. Discuss the audience and the message before opening the software.
Apply the design principles to a logo, social post, brochure or presentation. Work towards consistency across the pieces your business uses.
Explore image editing, vector artwork and page layout through an agreed project. Discuss which software you use and the skills you want to develop.
Check readability, prepare artwork for its print or digital destination and explain your design decisions. Review the work and identify a useful next exercise.
The earlier Design Studio courses covered CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with individual exercises, marketing principles and preparing files for print and the web. These remain useful subjects to discuss when arranging a tailored course. Confirm the software, required licences and lesson plan for your current programme.
Bring a sample of your work, the kind of material you want to make and any questions about your existing tools. The lecturer can use these to help define an appropriate starting point.

Teaching draws on that working experience: understanding an audience, shaping a useful offer, designing the customer journey and choosing tools with a purpose. Sessions follow your questions and your pace, with practical exercises and time to review the result.
From the original course feedback
“I liked that the lessons were held individually, so I could dictate my own pace, and I had undivided attention.”
“Thanks to the individual approach, the answers to all the questions I am interested in and the extensive homework, I have mastered and understood everything I need without any difficulties.”
Explain your experience and what you want to make. The programme can start with the foundations and work through practical exercises at an agreed pace.
The old page described fixed 24-lesson packages. Current learning is arranged through Hexa Academy, with 60-minute sessions and a scope agreed around your needs. Ask for the number of sessions, software requirements and current quote before booking.
A professional completion certificate can record the agreed programme. This is not an accredited academic qualification or a guarantee of employment. Any internship is discussed and arranged separately.
